     Meadow pulled into the parking lot of the bookstore. She loved this small historic college town. There was so much history here. The old streets, the town square with the gazebo, the historical buildings, and the old oak trees added to its charm. She grew up here and loved it too much to leave.
     The bookstore was one of the social hubs for this small town. Everyone stopped in to say hello and gossip about their neighbors. It was always filled with people and you never knew who you would meet inside its small walls of bookshelves.
     Meadow checked her makeup in the rear view mirror, quickly ran her fingers through her long hair, and added some lip gloss. She puckered her lips, took a deep breath and was now ready to head inside. She grabbed her book, purse, and notebook and headed toward the door.
     “Hello, Mrs. Martin,” she had an appointment to present her book to the owner.
     “Why, hello there, Meadow. I’m excited to see your latest!” Mrs. Martin motioned her into her office and pulled the chair out for Meadow to sit.
     Mrs. Martin was a small older lady with long gray hair. She always peered over...
